The makers of Geetha Govindam got a shock when news came out that the film was leaked online before it could hit the theatres. Lead actor Vijay Deverakonda took to Twitter to express his disappointment over the same. Now, as per a report in The News Minute, the Andhra Pradesh police has arrested one person in connection to the case. The arrest took place on August 12. The cops said that the accused, Padavala Rajesh reportedly copied footage of the film during post-production and shared it amongst his relatives. It seems some of his relations were students of KL University. After learning about the leak, the producers filed a case with the Andhra Pradesh cyber crime branch. It seems Rajesh’s relative, Jayant has been tracked down by the cops in Hyderabad. It seems the accused, Rajesh worked as an administrator in Data Digital Bank, a firm with links to the film industry. The film also stars Rashmmika Mandana. It was supposed to release on Independence Day. In the film, Vijay plays Govindam a guy who tries to woo Geetha (Rashmmika) in every possible manner. Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju, Rahul Ramakrishna, Sandhya Janak, Kalyani N and Abhay Bethiganti also star in the film. Stay tuned to BL for more updates!
