The grand finale of Super Singer season 6, which happened yesterday saw singer Senthil Ganesh emerging as the winner of the reality show. The singer was awarded a trophy along with a house worth Rs 50 lakhs. He also got the opportunity to croon for the Mozart of Madras and Academy Award winner AR Rahman. Rakshitha became the first-runner up and won a prize of Rs 25 lakhs.

Malavika, who grabbed the third spot won Rs 2 lakhs. Sreekanth, who unfortunately couldn’t make it to the top 3 was lucky enough to get the offer to sing for AR Rahman. Rajalakshmi, who was not in the top 6 was honoured with the title of ‘Makkalin Kural’ which means public choice. She also received Rs 5 lakhs which she donated for the education of children of the weaver’s association. The finale began with the special message from AR Rahman to all the six finalists. Tamil stars like Vijay Sethupathi and composer Santhosh Narayanan also market their presence in the gala night. The judges of the reality of the show were Unnikrishnan, Anuradha Sriram, Benny Dayal and Swetha Mohan. It was hosted by Ma Ka Pa Anand and Priyanka Deshpande.
